Two homes, both sold

Hogan owned two adjacent Clearwater homes when he died, and property records now show both have sold. [1] If you follow high-end Florida listings, this pair went from estate to closed sales in a matter of months.

Hogan died at age 71 at his Clearwater, FL, home in July 2025. [1] He died from a heart attack. [1] He had undergone multiple surgeries and procedures on his neck in the months before his death. [1]

The price history

Both homes were put on the market after his passing. [1] The smaller cottage sold for $2.8 million. [1]

Hogan bought the larger home in April 2012 for $3.33 million. [1] About four years after that purchase, he bought the smaller adjacent property for $1.6 million. [1]

The larger home's first price cut lowered the ask to $8.99 million. [1] In September, the asking price was cut to $6.9 million. [1]

What the properties are

The mansion has five bedrooms and spans just over 5,000 square feet on a 6,098-square-foot lot adjacent to Hogan's second property. [1] Hogan used the cottage as a guesthouse and did not attempt to combine the two properties. [1]

The two properties were previously registered to an LLC linked to Hogan and his ex-wife Jennifer McDaniel. [1]

The estate behind the sales

Hogan's son Nick was named sole heir to his fortune, but the Clearwater compound was not included in the assets left to him. [1]

About six weeks after Hogan's death, Nick Hogan filed to be named co-personal representative of the estate alongside Terry McCoy, and the court approved. [1] His filing claimed the estate included $200,000 in cryptocurrency, $799,000 in personal and intellectual property, and a right to publicity valued at $4 million. [1]

Brooke Hogan and her father had been estranged for some time before his death. [1]

What this means for you

If you are tracking these sales, property records show both homes have sold. [1] The cottage closed at $2.8 million, and the mansion's ask fell from $8.99 million at its first cut to $6.9 million in September. [1]

If you are comparing prices, Hogan paid $3.33 million for the larger home in 2012 and $1.6 million for the smaller property about four years later. [1]
